Personal and family security
What to do?
A desk for a situation that has already happened. One piece — one situation, always following the same procedure.
When something has already happened, a person does not need threat analysis — they need an order of actions. So every piece in this desk follows a fixed five-step structure.
The format is easy to read under stress and easy to forward: it is exactly what circulates in messengers when trouble reaches someone close by.
Core pain
«I don't know what to do right now, and I am losing time».
What to do?
- The first 10 minutesWhat to stop right now so that things stop getting worse.
- The first 24 hoursWhat to block, whom to warn, what to record.
- Where to turnBank, operator, platform, law enforcement — and in which order.
- What evidence to preserveExactly what and in what form: screenshot, statement, chat log, call records.
- What NOT to doThe actions that most often cost people both the money and the evidence.

Section rules
- Stop the contact first, sort it out afterwards. The conversation continues exactly as long as it benefits the attacker.
- Record before you delete: a screenshot of the whole screen with the date, time and address, not a cropped fragment of a chat.
- Do not transfer money «to get your money back». That is a separate scheme aimed at people who have already been defrauded.
- Do not hesitate to file a report. Even a small amount links your episode to others and often creates the chance of recovery.
Important
This desk does not replace legal help or contacting law enforcement — it helps you not to lose the first hours.
