Editorial philosophy

A media portal on security in the real and the virtual world

There is no such thing as too much security. It is the foundation of a society's well-being, resilience and development. Security runs through everything: our daily lives, business, relationships between people, society and the state, the world and the planet — and in time it reaches far beyond Earth, taking in the future of humanity and of the universe.

Preparing to launch

What is already on the site

What is published today is the editorial structure: sections, formats, expert fields and interactive tests. The feed of articles will appear when regular publishing begins.

If you are an expert, an author, a partner or an advertiser — write to the newsroom: we are forming the author pool and the expert council.

How a piece is built

Nine questions every analysis answers

An ordinary report says: «there was a cyberattack». A Qalqan analysis answers nine questions — only then does it become a publication.

Qalqan Media brings together all kinds of security and breaks threats down so that by the end of the piece you know what to do. We do not retell the news. We take the scheme apart, show exactly where a person or a company makes the wrong move, and give the floor to a specialist in that field.

The newsroom

People own the meaning, AI takes the routine

Qalqan Media is built as an AI-native newsroom: monitoring, drafts, platform adaptation and newsletters are automated, while editorial responsibility stays with people.

Human control

Four approval levels: from automatic publication of a digest to mandatory review by an editor, a lawyer and a subject-matter expert.

Fact-checking

Every claim gets a status: verified, partially verified, unverified, false.

Publication risk score

Before release a piece is scored for factual, legal and reputational risk, privacy and child safety.

Ecosystem

Qalqan Media is the public entrance to a professional community

This outlet has something a new publication normally lacks: a working expert base across eight sectors. That is why Media is more than publications.

FAQ

What is Qalqan Media?
An expert media outlet on the security of people, business and society. It brings together physical, economic, legal, digital and human security and works through threats by the formula «threat — analysis — expert — solution — practice».
Who publishes the outlet?
The Qalqan Security Experts Public Association — a professional association of specialists in security, corporate security and private investigation.
Why is there no article feed yet?
The outlet is preparing to launch. What is published now is the editorial structure: sections, formats, expert fields and tests. We deliberately do not fill the site with imitation publications.
Who is responsible for accuracy?
The newsroom. Every claim carries a verification status, sources have trust levels, and sensitive material is reviewed by an editor, a lawyer and a subject-matter expert.
Is the material really produced by artificial intelligence?
Part of the routine work — monitoring, drafts, platform adaptation — is automated. But no piece goes out without a person, and an expert opinion always belongs to a named specialist.
Are my test answers stored?
No. The tests are scored directly in your browser: answers are not sent to a server and are not stored between visits.
Can I become an author or an expert?
Yes. The newsroom is forming its author pool and expert council across eight sectors. Write to the newsroom, stating your sector, area of practice and experience.
Which languages does the outlet publish in?
Russian, Kazakh and English.
